It was love at first sight for Charles Evans — better known to his friends as “LaLa” — when he first saw Louise.
Charles later married her, and their relationship lasted 59 years, creating a lifetime of memories together. When she passed away, Charles was overcome with grief for his loss.
But he decided to turn his pain into a touching memorial to his life with Louise. He created a “museum” in the backyard of their home together, filled with photos and mementos of their shared experiences.
“We had talked about it before she passed that one day we want to build a museum to put these pictures in,” Charles explains. “We didn’t get a chance to do that but the idea never left my mind, and so I said ‘I’m gonna do it anyway.’”
