The incredibly moving story about a disabled boy and his disabled dog.

Owen Howkins felt alone a lot of the time. The 8-year-old has Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, a rare disorder where his muscles seize involuntarily. Confined to a wheelchair and fearful of being different, he never felt comfortable with new people.

Then Owen met Haatchi, an Anatolian Shepherd dog. And it was love at first sight.

Haatchi had his own difficulties. As a puppy, he was tied to a railway track and was hit by a train before he could be rescued. He had his back leg and tail amputated. The shelter that saved Haatchi was determined to find the kind dog a forever home, which is how he ended up with Owen.

Owen calls Haatchi his best friend, and says the dog changed his life. “Haatchi does look after me and he’s special,” he said.

Watch these two best friends in a short documentary on this very special relationships — it will brighten your day and melt your heart…
