Construction workers often rib one another while working, enjoying a rough-and-tumble camaraderie. But a Brazilian worker named David Lopes de Oliveira. Davi, as he’s called, brought his co-workers in Sydney, Australia, to speechlessness when he wowed them with an unexpected talent.
Davi studies music, something he kept to himself for months before his crew found out. He even harbors ambition to sing opera in Sydney’s famed opera house. Having no formal training, he would love to study at Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music.
Once his crew was in on his secret, they insisted Davi give them a sample of his talents. So he put down his jackhammer and sang an aria made famous by his musical idol Pavarotti, “Nessun Dorma.”
