Homelessness is not easy for anyone. Not knowing where your next meal, or even your next shower, is coming from is often a deeply vulnerable, sometimes humiliating and even dangerous situation.

But for many women who live on the streets, dealing with periods is an especial burden, adding another layer of worry, fear and anxiety to a tough situation. Every month, thousands of homeless women deal with anything from having no sanitary supplies to becoming infected.
