This beautiful tribute to a dog and his man just might move you to tears.

When Griffey developed tumors and was struggling to stand up, Todd Neal made the heartbreaking decision dog owners have to face all too often — taking their beloved family member to the vet to say a final goodbye and put them down.

His filmmaker son Chris perfectly captures that emotion when he filmed his dad describing the painful ordeal.

“I just miss him being here — miss him laying on the floor right next to me here,” Todd said. “Man’s best friend — I think that’s totally true. Just something awesome about having a dog.”

Griffey was put down. RIP. Grab some tissues at 1:57…
