This one-minute film beautifully illustrates the power of kindness.

Many foster kids slip in and out of the system, falling through the cracks and missing out on the stability and love that every child deserves.

Some wander from family to family, never finding a fit. Others simply “age out,” eventually finding themselves hitting young adulthood without an ally or support system to help them find a place in life. Some kids simply get overlooked from neglect.

A PSA from the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs illustrates a poignant moment in one of these kids’ lives, finding himself without food and embarrassed and isolated at his relative poverty in relation to his peers.

Too often we look away from these moments. But this one-minute film shows what happens when he take the moment to see what’s going on — and do something about it in a kind and simple way…
