Woman who considers herself as a unicorn showcases the most colorful home you may have seen.

Many of us want to go all-out when it comes to color and style, but something often gets in the way: worrying what others think, self-doubt or maybe concerns about practicality.

Los Angeles-based designer Amina Mucciolo doesn’t let any of that stop her from living her dream of a Technicolor life, beginning with her personal home, which is decorated in a whimical, bright, joyous style full of color and charming, youthful details.

She and her husband Salvatore have transformed their downtown apartment into an amazing riot of bright saturated color, which has been featured in many magazines and websites.

A lot of the features have been created especially by Amina, included a giant ‘flower painting’ that is the focal point of her living room. She hot-glued silk flowers onto a canvas, creating her own unique artwork.

A lot of her projects are time consuming, but Amina says she has OCD and the projects are therapeutic for her.

“All of these [projects] aren’t super fast things, but that’s what I’m into,” she says. “Creating helps ease my mind, and has saved my life.”

More importantly, she loves creating an environment that makes her happy and reflects her deepest, truest self.

“Wherever I live, I believe, should be a reflection of myself,” Mucciolo told Mashable. “I want to live somewhere where I feel inspired and happy because I’m an artist, and I work from home a lot.”

See Amina in her home below, and marvel at the creativity and self-expression in action…
