Taxi driver blows judges away with incredible opera piece after his passengers convince him to audition.

Carlos De Antonis is a Miami cab driver who spends his days in a car, taking strangers from one destination to another. To break up the time, he often sings — and is often told by his passengers that he should do it professionally.

The unassuming middle-aged driver decided to audition for ‘America’s Got Talent,’ and at first didn’t inspire much confidence or interest in the panel of judges.

And then Carlos began to sing. He took on an aria called ‘Nessun Dorma,’ a difficult piece for tenors from Puccini’s ‘Turandot’. He attacked the piece with passion and power, inspiring the judges’ respect and even a standing ovation.
