Watch 80 strangers form a human chain to rescue a drowning family.

Stephen and Noah Ursey — 8- and 11-year old boys — were swimming in on a beach in Florida when a rip current caught them up.

There was no lifeguard on duty, so the boys’ mother and three other relatives tried to rescue them but got caught up in the current as well.

Other beachgoers watched as the family struggled and decided to help. Nearly 80 people created a human chain from the shore to reach the family in the water. The chain reached the family, who were passed down the chain one by one until they reached shore.
