Talented 13-year-old dedicates song to dying father on ‘America’s Got Talent’.

13-year-old Evie Clair is young, but she still has had to deal with her share of travail and heartbreak. The singer’s father is battling cancer, even as she makes her way through the rounds of ‘America’s Got Talent’.

She got emotional as she explained her situation to the panel of judges on her first audition. But she channeled that raw feeling into song and gave a knockout performance that got her to the next round.

Now she’s facing the judges again, but she’s still dedicating her performances to her dad. Watch her in the video below as she sings Macy Gray’s R&B hit “I Try” — she sings it straight from the heart in a way that will make you cry, too…
