This beautiful short shows us why our homes are where our memories live.

Filmmaker Trent Jaklitsch used a single shot reveal the untold stories of a decaying house. Each room has its voices and we’re immersed in the memories — from the first moments to the final breaths. From the smudges on the walls to the broken records in the bedroom, it all tells a story.

The term “Hiraeth” refers to a nostalgia for a home to which you cannot return — a longing for a home that is no longer or never was.

It’s not just a house, it’s a home at 3:41…
