Young man spends 19 years with no family, then he meets his real sister and his life transforms.

To say Seth Miller had a difficult childhood was an understatement. His adoption as a toddler fell through, and he spent 10 years in various foster homes without a forever family to call his own.

The Texas teen finally aged out of the foster system in high school, but still felt lost and alone, homeless at age 19. He lived in his car and felt lonely.

But then a court-appointed child advocate discovered something about Seth — he had a biological sister, Shyann, who had been adopted. The advocate called Shyann’s parents about meeting Seth, but ultimately decided Shyann should meet her brother.

They invited Seth to Thanksgiving, and Seth was thrilled to discover he had some family. Not only did he reconnect with his sister, but his family decided to adopt Seth, giving him the family he longed for — and a place he could call home.

“It felt strong. It felt in place. It felt home,” Seth told WFAA.
