He took a photo every day from 12 years old to his wedding day.

Since he was 12, Hugo Cornelllier has taken a self a day to record his journey through life. He periodically compiles them into video montages, which offer a fascinating window into how much he changes — and also what stays the same.

His latest video is one of the most emotionally resonant — it ends with the selfie he took on his wedding day.

Now 21 years old and a mechanical engineer in Montreal, he hopes his selfie project will be a gift for this future kids.

“Imagine being able to watch a similar video that one of your parents made,” Hugo said on Reddit. β€œPart of why I’m doing this is because I know how crazy it will be for my kids…to see when I’m older.”
