Future Hero by Ramin Serry

A man goes back in time to save his baby self from a killer android. Then, his dad ruins everything.

Life with a baby isn’t easy, but one new dad is doing his best to get by, even if it means neglecting his family from time to time.

During one nap, a time-traveling android assasin beams into his living room, intent on killing his baby.

But then the son — a grown-up time traveler as well — arrives from the future, and father and son must work together to change their family’s future, all while working out their issues.

This madcap take on time-travel sci-fi mashes up “Back to the Future” and “The Terminator,” but this comedy short stands on its own for its excellent, fast-moving pace and its broad but effective characters and dialogue.

Even with the time travel and goofy effects, the film is rooted in recognizable human emotions and situation. “Future Hero” is all about how parents sacrifice to protect and love their kids — which is what makes them heroes, after all.
