In a bid to heal the rift in society, a brilliant chicken sets out to find an answer to the ultimate question -- which came first, the chicken or the egg?
When the chicken stumbles upon "the formula" while working at home, he presents his findings to the flock. But to test his theory, he concludes, he'll have to build a machine to collide chicken and egg at great speeds.
The flock erupts in applause and they began to design and build the device. But just as he's ready to set the machine in motion, he's knocked out from behind.
He wakes up strapped to into the test. Frantically, he calls for his son to help him escape. But the machine begins to spin him and an egg around.
His son scrambles, digging in a bag. But he's hurled into the egg -- in a spectacular explosion.
When the dust settles, he emerges from test as half-chicken, half-egg monster. His son finds a laser gun from the bag and aims it at his dad. In a flashback, he thinks of all the loving memories growing up. Then, he pulls the trigger and sends his dad back in time to 10 billion years B.C.
He wakes up in the desolate wasteland. He hugs his egg and shields it from the harsh winds. Only then do we realize the world is, in fact, one giant egg.
